The rules that keep the tournament series fair, safe and competitive.

Article I — Name & Purpose

The name of this organization shall be Orange County Bass Club (OCBC), founded in 1978. The purpose of the club is to promote tournament bass fishing, sportsmanship, conservation, and camaraderie among its members.

Article II — Membership

Membership is open to any angler of good standing regardless of age or skill level. Both boaters and non-boaters are welcome. New members are voted in following attendance of at least one regular monthly meeting.

Article III — Meetings

Regular meetings shall be held on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 PM at 11551 Trask Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92843 (Elks Lodge). Members are encouraged to attend to remain in good standing for Tournament of Champions eligibility.

Article IV — Officers

The elected officers of the club are: President, Treasurer, Secretary, Weigh Master, and Media Manager. Officers serve one-year terms and are elected by simple majority of members present at the annual meeting.

Article V — Tournament Format

OCBC fishes 10 regular-season tournaments plus the Tournament of Champions. Regular events run under BASS-style rules with a 5-fish limit unless otherwise announced. Slot and length limits follow each individual fishery's regulations.

Article VI — Points & AOY

Angler of the Year points are awarded at each regular-season event based on finish order. The Top 10 anglers by season-end points, plus any regular-season winner meeting meeting-attendance requirements, qualify for the Tournament of Champions.

Article VII — Conduct & Safety

All members are expected to conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner on and off the water. USCG-approved life jackets are required while running. Any behavior deemed detrimental to the club may result in loss of membership by board vote.
